FAQ

Moss-Live questions

Pricing, privacy, limits and what happens when a call drops.

What is Moss-Live?

Moss-Live is an online real-time AI voice chat. You talk through your microphone and Moss-Live answers out loud in a natural voice, with live captions and the option to interrupt at any moment. It runs in desktop and mobile browsers.

What can I do with Moss-Live?

People use Moss-Live to practise speaking a language, rehearse job interviews, think through an idea out loud, prepare for a hard conversation, listen to an improvised story, or just chat. With a custom setup you can make it play any role you describe.

Is Moss-Live free? How do credits work?

Moss-Live is a paid service with no free plan or free trial: calls are paid with credits from a subscription or a credit pack. A call costs 10 credits per minute, counted in 6-second steps, with at least 15 seconds per call. When Moss-Live looks something up on the web during a call, each lookup costs 2 credits. Subscription credits arrive every month and expire at the end of that month; credit pack credits never expire.

Which model powers Moss-Live?

Calls run on the Moss-Live real-time speech model, which listens and speaks at the same time. That is why Moss-Live can be interrupted mid-sentence and answers without waiting for a long pause.

Can I use Moss-Live for work or teaching?

Yes. You can use Moss-Live conversations and their transcripts for work, lessons, coaching and content you publish. You may not use it to impersonate a real person, to deceive the people you talk to, or for anything illegal.

Is my voice private? What is saved?

Your microphone is streamed only while a Moss-Live call is on air, and we do not keep audio recordings. The text transcript of each call is saved to your private history page so you can read or download it. History is deleted automatically 15 days after the call, and you can delete any call sooner.

Which voices, languages and call lengths are there?

Moss-Live has 22 voices and can be pinned to 8 languages, or follow the language you speak. A single call lasts up to 20 to 90 minutes depending on your plan; you can start a new call right after. It works in current Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox with a microphone.

What if a call fails or drops? Do I lose credits?

No. If a call cannot connect, the credits are returned automatically. Calls are prepaid in 30-second blocks, and whatever you did not use goes back to your balance when the call ends or drops. If you close the tab, the call ends by itself within about 90 seconds.
